SEAFIE Debuts to March 2014

The inaugural Southeast Asian Furniture & Interiors Import Export Exhibition (SEAFIE) has been rescheduled to the next year and it will be exhibited at the 20th Anniversary of Malaysian International Furniture Fair which will be held on 4th – 8th March 2014 at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) and the MATRADE Exhibition and Convention Centre, Kualalumpur, Malaysia.

Actually, it was supposed to be held on 13-16 September 2013 in Kuala Lumpur but it has been moved to the next year.

Ms Karen Goi, GM, Furniture & Interiors of UBM Malaysia, told while SEAFIE has drawn very cheering buyer attention with pre-registration from more than 40 countries.

Mr. Goi concludes that they see the demand is strong for medium-to-high end furniture in ASEAN but for today they must also consider their responsibility to all of their customers both furniture manufacturing companies and buyers. Till today, they have selected to carry on to create a stage for buyers, designers and architects interested in the medium to high end furniture by launching SEAFIE as an exceptional feature at the 20th anniversary of Malaysian International Furniture Fair (MIFF) next year 2014. That move still gives exhibitors more worth for their participation and more product choice for buyers. In many respects, SEAFIE’s reschedule to MIFF’s 20th Anniversary is affectionate of their commitment to adding the growth of the industry but at the same time considering the urgent requirements of their long-time stake holders and community.

A particularly designated SEAFIE Hall would be allotted to exhibitors from local and overseas furniture manufacturing companies at MIFF 2014 complete with a swarm of activities and events dedicated towards the medium to high end furniture marketplace.
